All „Patentanwälte“ of the partnership are admitted as patent attorneys in the Federal Republic of Germany. As such, they are members of the German patent attorney association (Patentanwaltskammer, Tal 29, D-80331 München, www.patentanwalt.de). Further, all “European patent attorneys” are registered representatives before the European Patent Office (EPO) and as such members of the epi (epi, Bayerstraße 83, 80335 München, www.patentepi.com). All „Patentanwälte“ of the partnership are further European Trademark and Design attorneys and are authorized to represent clients before the Bundessortenamt and the Community Plant Variety Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the IP office of the European Union (EUIPO).
The patent attorneys of KKM are covered by a professional liability insurance policy with R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG, Taunusstr. 1, 65193 Wiesbaden. The insurance covers their activities within the member states of the European Union and fulfills the requirements of § 45 (1) Patentanwaltsordnung (PAO).
